Led by People with Autism and their Friends.

ARTISM is a nonprofit program that uses art to bring awareness and developmental support to autistic youth. We provide real work experience in the music, art, and fashion industries for people with autism and their friends. ARTISM has won film festivals, currently programs music for radio stations, and designs apparel for well known clothing lines. Clients include some of the most notable names in music and fashion.

ARTISM recently partnered with Eve's Appetite for Cure (EAC) to co-promote their missions. EAC is a non-profit organization founded by Lisa Marks-Canty to provide critical research data, monetary and social support for cancer patients and their families.

ARTISM was founded by Carrie McGoohan and entrepreneur Richard Victor Mahee (Mahvrick) as a program of International Arts & Philanthropy Foundation, Inc. - an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

ARTISM and EAC are collaborating on a very special Holiday fundraiser December 4, 2021 at the magnificent TPC Jasna Polana Golf Club to support underprivileged children in New Jersey and New York. Situated on 230 acres of breathtaking countryside in the heart of Princeton, N.J., TPC Jasna Polana continues to redefine the private club experience – boasting an award-winning championship golf course designed by the legendary Gary Player.

OUR STORY

Richard and Carrie were High School classmates from Monsignor Donovan High School in Toms River, New Jersey, and kept in touch via social media. Richard would get video chat messages from Carrie’s autistic son, Liam, whenever Richard's daily pattern would change. Richard, realizing that Liam was taking note of his schedule, arranged a face to face meeting with Liam where he learned about Liam's passion for music and art.

Richard worked to develop Liam’s interpersonal skills while including his talent and love for music to create paintings for well known music and fashion clients. Liam has since introduced friends to his program that now also create for ARTISM clients - some of the most notable names in music and fashion.

Liam McGoohan is now the Ambassador for the ARTISM program, and Richard Victor Mahee is the Chairman.
